The United Way Social Worker works directly in the local elementary school to assist students dealing with an array of issues. These sessions can be one-on-one and/or group sessions. 

The position is required to be a licensed social worker, which gives them permission to follow up with parents and handle crisis situations. 

In 2022, the TASD Elementary Social Worker met with 63 students.
